About

  1. Bio

I’m a strategist, systems thinker, and design researcher passionate about using participatory approaches to drive positive social and environmental change.

I work at the intersection of climate, design, and policy to help local actors respond to complex challenges in practical and inclusive ways. My focus is on enabling clearer decisions and stronger collaboration - especially in contexts where climate risks are urgent, but institutional or social conditions make action difficult.

In practice, that means designing and facilitating participatory research processes (to create space for local voices), translating systemic insights into action plans, and building tools or frameworks that support strategic decision-making. I’m used to working in ambiguity - aligning diverse stakeholders, surfacing tensions, and guiding teams from broad ambition to grounded strategies.

I thrive in collaborative, cross-disciplinary environments and am open to opportunities where I can bring my strengths in design research, facilitation, and strategy to help teams navigate uncertainty, elevate community voices, and co-create meaningful solutions. I'm currently focused on resilience building and climate adaptation.

  2. Guiding values

I'm guided by the below values, which shape how I work and the change I want to make:

    🌏 Social-ecological lens

I see people and nature as deeply interconnected. I approach challenges with a social-ecological lens, recognising that environmental issues are also social issues - especially in the face of climate change.

    🌾 Resilience building

Climate change disproportionately affects communities already experiencing structural inequalities. I'm driven to support those most at risk by designing programs and policies that strengthen adaptive capacity, promote justice, and elevate community voices.

    📚 Continuous learning

I'm always exploring new topics, perspectives, and approaches. I see learning as vital part of navigating complexity and uncertainty - and finding a way through the grey area.

    🌿 Regenerative mindset

I design in ways that strengthens relationships, and promotes ongoing learning. Whether I’m supporting cities to collborate on climate change or co-creating with communities on the ground, I aim to leave people, places, and practices more connected than when we started.

  3. An unconventional path

I have 7 years of professional experience across advertising, community organising, academia, NGOs and in a tech start-up. I've dipped my toes in various fields but I see that as a strength. It’s provided me a trans-disciplinary perspective that I can apply to projects.

    Bachelor of marketing

Learnt the foundations of strategic campaign development and creating, communicating and delivering value propositions.

    Digital marketing

Honed my digital marketing skills, including quantitative analysis and communicating data-driven decisions. Disillusioned with advertising I started freelancing to open up time to focus on projects I cared deeply about and to explore critical issues like climate change.

    Community organising

Started a community group with friends to advocate for reform of local, state and national climate policy. Here I discovered the importance of being an active citizen, advocacy, networks and simply just showing up.

    Master’s of environment

Completed a masters of environment, specialising in climate change. The program offered an interdisciplinary view of climate policy, science, and technology, emphasising the need for a trans-disciplinary approach to global environmental challenges.

    Non-government organisation

I worked on a program called Cities Power Partnership (CPP) - where we facilitated collaboration between a network of 186 Australia local governments - to help scale climate action. This is where I first started wearing my systems thinking hat and examining how to influence large-scale change.

    Research lab

I spent time working as a research assistant with the Melbourne Centre for Cities, a research centre focusing on urban governance. Here I conducted research for a policy brief for the US State Department’s Subnational Diplomacy Unit.

    Tech start-up

Most recently I freelanced as a strategic designer for Kausal, a company developing climate tech software. I’ve been helping them understand the broader context their products are used in at local governments, as well as examining the need for a new tool they are considering developing.

  4. What I bring to the table

Tackling complex challenges means working with uncertainty. Creating meaningful change requires trust, flexibility and iterative research methods. I embrace this through:

    💛 Curiosity and care

My curiosity fuels my work. It prompts questions that help reframe challenges and sparks an interest in others' perspectives, helping consider new pathways forward. I pair this curiosity with deep care for the projects I work on and for the people I work with.

    🤝 Collaboration

I'm a good communicator, open-minded and an active listener. This helps me align stakeholders, gain support for participatory methods, and deliver feedback that strengthens strategies.

🕸️ Zooming out with a systems lens

I take a step back to explore the root cause of problems and identify the interconnected factors shaping them. A systems lens helps highlight the relationships and leverage points that can drive positive change. It leans on diverse perspectives, maintains a long-term outlook, and remains open to changing direction if necessary.

  5. End-to-end skillset

    Continually learning.

💖 What I'm great at, and love doing

Research plans, leveraging systems change frameworks, qualitative research, sensemaking, stakeholder engagement, and workshop design and facilitation.

👍 What I'm great at, and don't mind doing

Problem framing, project management, developing theories of change, ideation, feedback loops, and impact measurement frameworks.

🌀 What I can do, but others can do better

Systems mapping, infographics and data visualisation, personas, journey maps, data wrangling, prototyping, and climate risk assessments.

  6. Experience

I’m currently open to work. I'm looking to work on purpose-driven projects that are collaborative and that prioritise elevating the voices of those we're working to support.
